Welcome to Green Elephant Walk
Green represents the journey back to yourself. The name reflects a deep connection to nature, healing and personal growth. Green has always symbolised balance, compassion, trust, and renewal. It is associated with the heart centre, connection and healing. Elephants, have also held a special place in my life since childhood. They embody wisdom, intuition, strength and gentleness - qualities that inspire me both my approach to life and my life as an osteopath.

What is Green Elephant Walk?
At Green Elephant Walk, I believe true healing occurs with we connect with ourselves. Many people seek treatment when they are living with persistant pain, stress, tension, or nervous system dysregulation. When the body feels safe supported and calm, meaningful changes can occur. Pain may reduce, movement may improve, and a greater sense of clarity, resilience and wellbeing can emerge.
My approach is highly individualized. Every person is different, and every treatment is tailored to their unique needs. The goal is simply not symptom releif but helping patients understand and address the underlying causes contributing to their discomfort. Through osteopathic treatment and nervous system regulation, patients often experience a deeper connection to their bodies and greater confience in their own healing process.
About Me
Hi, I am Dr Samantha Palmer (Osteopath) and Director at Green Elephant Walk.
My Journey into osteopathy began through my own experiences with injury. Overy many years I have found that treatment often focused on managing the symptoms rather than understanding why the problem had developed in the first place. Injuries would improve temporarily, only to return again and again.
This experience led me to discover osteopathy and its philosophy of treating the whole person – mind body and lifestyle. I was drawn to the idea that lasting change comes from understanding the bigger picture , not simply putting out spot fires.
More than 20 years later, I remain passionate about helping people uncover the root causes of pain and dysfunction while supporting their body’s natural capacity to heal.
My approach
I believe every person deserves to be heard, understood and treated as an individual.
My treatments focus on identifying and addressing the underlying factors contributing to pain, restriction, and nervous system dysregulation. Rather than chasing symptoms, I work with the body’s natural intelligence and healing mechanisms to create lasting change.
Treatment often involves assisting the body enter a state of stillness and safety, allowing the nervous system to reset and function more effectively. Patients are also guided to develop greater awareness and practical tool that support their own health and wellbeing between appointments.
My goal is to empower patients, not create dependency. While conditions require ongoing care, many patients find they do not need weekly appointments because they are actively involved in their own recovery and long-term health.
